Irminsul Band

El Nordic Summer Festival tuvo lugar por segunda vez en Finlandia, en Orivesi, 40 kms al norte de Tampere. Este año el lugar estuvo más cerca de la ciudad, y el tiempo acompañó. También había muchas mejoras con respecto a la primera edición. Había bungalows disponibles para ser alquilados por los camaradas, también buenos aseos con duchas e incluso una sauna. Alrededor de 200 camaradas se dieron cita en el lugar del concierto, procedentes de Suecia, Alemania, Eslovaquia, Polonia, España, y por supuesto, Finlandia.

La primera banda en actuar el viernes fue Pagan Skull, banda RAC de Jyväskyla, fundada en 2006. Publicaron su último cd “In the hands of the Fatherland” en 2012. Les siguieron Marder, de Helsinki, banda fundada en 2012 y que ha estado muy activa desde entonces. La última banda en tocar el viernes, fueron los Street Sweepers, de Kouvola, que tocaron algunos covers de la famosa banda de RAc finlandesa MIstreat, así como algunos temas de su próximo trabajo, que está a punto de estar terminado.

El sábado comenzó con algunos pequeños problemas. La primera banda en tocar debía ser Civic Duty, pero el coche de un miembro de la banda se había estropeado en el camino, así que habría algunos cambios en el cartel. Así, la primera banda en tocar fueron los españoles Irminsul, tocando desde 2006 y a punto de sacar su segundo cd. Hicieron un show realmente enérgico que recibió gran cantidad de elogios del público.

Los segundos de este gran sábado fueron los Endless Pride, de Suecia, activos desde septiembre del 2002, que tocan en un estilo metal con toques de la vieja escuela RAC y Oi!, y que en este año 2013 han lanzado su tercer cd “Decade of Pride”. Tocaron un gran concierto y la gente quedó encantada con lo que vió. Destacar que esta banda ha cambiado recientemente su formación, ya que Jonas, el antiguo guitarra, sufrió un accidente laboral que le hizo perder el brazo derecho, así que en una muestra de lo que es la Voluntad de un hombre blanco, decidió aprender a tocar la batería con un solo brazo, y desde luego es digno de verse. Honor, Jonas!!

El tercer grupo en tocar era Goatmoon, de Lappeenranta. Esta banda finlandesa de NSBM se creó en la primavera de 2002, y sus letras hablan sobre la supremacía blanca y el odio hacia los enemigos de nuestra Tierra. Esta banda era muy esperada, contaba con una gran cantidad de fans entre el público, y no defraudaron.

En cuarto lugar, por fin teníamos en el escenario a los Civic Duty, banda fundada en 2007. Un concierto también muy enérgico y agresivo, Joonas tiene una gran voz, fue un gran show mientras la noche iba oscureciendo.

La quinta banda, y cabeza de cartel esta noche, eran los germanos Blitzkrieg, tronando desde 1999, en Sachsen. Una de las mas populares bandas RAC de Europa en estos momentos, que sacaron su último cd “Das letzte Bollwerk” en 2011. Esta fue la segunda vez que Blitzkrieg tocaba en Finlandia, y realmente, superaron de nuevo las expectativas de la gente, dando un impresionante show, pleno de fuerza y viendo sus canciones coreadas por la numerosa crew que traían con ellos. Cuando Blitzkrieg iba terminando, mucha gente quería ver de nuevo a los españoles de Irminsul, aún quedaba tiempo, y los chicos de Irminsul volvieron a subir al escenario y repasaron algunos de sus temas, que la gente disfrutó a lo grande, terminaron versionando el famoso tema “morir o vencer” de Estirpe Imperial, muy conocido en Finlandia, y que finalizó con varios finlandeses borrachos, coreando la canción con la banda. En resumen, una gran fiesta de camaradería, grandes bandas, gran fin de semana. Os esperamos el próximo año en Finlandia!!

Nordic Summer fest was held in the second time in Finland, at Orivesi which is 40 km north of Tampere. This year the gig place was closer to the city and the the weather was good, also many improvements was being made, there were cabins which could be rented to the comrades, also good toilets and washing facilities as including a sauna, little over 200 comrades arrived at the gig place from, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and of course Finland. Friday's first band was Pagan Skull, RAC from Jyväskylä band was founded in 2006, latest cd – “In the hands of the Fatherland” published in 2012. The second band at Friday was Marder from Helsinki, they have played since May 2012, but they have been very active in gig front. Last band at Friday night was the Street sweepers from Kouvola, they played some covers from the famous Finnish RAC band Mistreat and also they new material at they cd whits is almost ready and out.

Saturday began with small problems, beginning of playing would have been Civic Duty, but one band member's car had broken down, so there was some changes to the band playing order. So, first at Saturday was Irminsul from Spain, they have played since 2006 and they second full length album is soon out, at the gig they played very energetic gig which they received a lot of positive feedback.

Second was Endless Pride from Sweden, band was born in September 2002, and plays metal with glimpses of old school rock'n'roll and oi. They had their sixth CD-“Decade of pride” released by Midgard records in 2012. Endless Pride played a good gig and the crowd liked what they saw.

Third band was Goatmoon from Lappeenranta. This Finnish black metal band was established in spring of 2002, the lyrics are mostly about white supremacy and hate. This band was expected a lot and there was a lots of fans in the crowd, and they were not disappointed.

Fourth band was Civic Duty from Helsinki, the band was founded in 2007. They are also very active at the the gig front, they have a very aggressive sound and Joonas have a good voice, they played a good set in the darkening evening.

The fifth and the event's headliner was Blitzkrieg from Sachsen/Germany, founded in 1999. Their latest cd is called Das letzte Bollwerk(The last bastion) released in 2011. Blitzkrieg is very famous and popular band all across Europe, this was second time they were playing in Finland, and time after time the band succeed to exceed expectations of crowd. Even before Blitzkrieg finished their set the crowd wanted to see Irminsul back on stage, so the band played few more songs on encore and the Spanish boys did their best to pleased the crowd which went mad. It was a great final of this second edition of Nordic Summer Fest. See you next year in Finland!!!
